A C19th icon, the British Museum was the first of its kind. It is the very ‘idea’of a museum.

Today, it describes itself as ‘A museum of the world for the world’.

We produced a masterplan to provide an architectural framework for the Museum to enable it to sustain care of the objects, staff working and visitor access be fitting a world class museum in C21st, including:

  • galleries
  • new exhibitions
  • temporary exhibitions
  • events
  • public circulation
  • cafés
  • retail
  • collection houses
  • collection management
